Divine healing is one of the supernatural signs Jesus promised would follow those who believed in His name.
(Mar 16:17)  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
(Mar 16:18)  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Prior to His death and resurrection, He had instructed and seen the early disciples demonstrate this while on preaching assignments (evangelism).
First with the Twelve.
(Mat 10:7)  And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
(Mat 10:8)  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
And then the Seventy-two of them.
(Luk 10:8)  And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
(Luk 10:9)  And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
On those two occasions, the disciples returned with joy having been able to carry out his instructions to the fullest.
(Luk 10:17)  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
(Luk 10:18)  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
(Luk 10:19)  Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Having set the precedent with the Twelve and the Seventy-two disciples, He then extended this supernatural ability to heal the sick to all who would believe in His name.
This we see clearly in full operation all through the book of Acts. A close example is in the life of Apostle Paul who was not there when Jesus gave that promise but became a partaker of it by his faith in Christ Jesus.
(Act 28:7)  In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.
(Act 28:8)  And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
(Act 28:9)  So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
(Act 28:10)  Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.
Unlike what some people strongly believe and teach, divine healing and miracles did not stop with the first twelve disciples or early christians.
The Hoy Spirit through believers all over the world, is still healing people today, bringing glory to the name of Jesus.
So do you have someone whom you would love to see healed supernaturally? Do you desire for God to use you mightily in divine healing?
Here is how you can practically walk in this supernatural ability and see effective results according to the Bible:
1. Quit trying to have Faith
Yes I mean what you just read. Quit trying to have faith.
At New Birth, you received all the faith you would ever need. All of it. This came through the Word of Truth that was preached to you the very moment you received salvation.
(Rom 10:17)  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The word “cometh” in Romans 10:17 is italicized because it was added by the translators to help readers easily understand that verse. But the issue with that addition is that it gives the readers the impression that faith comes and goes everytime. So you need to always hear the word for it to be there in you. That is not how it is.
The Faith you received at salvation took residence in you. It lives in you permanently. It’s there right now.
You didn’t receive a micro, small or medium size of it. As a matter of fact, you received the very faith of the Son of God, Jesus. The whole of it.
(Gal 2:20)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
That means you don’t have a faith problem as a believer in Jesus since you have the very faith with which He operated on the earth within you.
So quit trying to have Faith and just acknowledge you have it already. Having done that, follow the next instructions.
2. Lay those hands
Did you notice Mark 16:18 when read from KJV, NKJV and early manuscripts never said the believers would lay “their” hands but rather that they would lay hands on the sick?
(Mar 16:18)  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
The word “their” is not in that verse. The reason is simply because the believers hands placed on the sick are no longer just their hands. Those hands become the extensions of the hands of Jesus on earth when placed on the sick.
This is why sicknesses leave at the laying on of hands in the name of Jesus. Those hands ceases to be just our hands when we act in obedience to God’s Word.
3. Speak the Word over the sick body
Speaking the Word here does not necessarily mean quoting Bible verses over the sick bodies.
It simply has to do with speaking the very words the Holy Spirit placed within your heart at that very moment with boldness, giving specific direct commands to the sick body, the illness or the spirit behind it.
Jesus said, “He that heareth you, heareth me.” (Luke 10:16 KJV) And He wasn't joking about it.
That is not only true for people but also for evil spirits, illnesses and sick bodies.
Be very direct when speaking to sick bodies to be healed. Praying “Dear Lord, if you really love this guy so much, you would come now and heal him, in Jesus name. Amen” is not a very effective way to see people healed supernaturally.
Instead say, “You fever, in the name of Jesus leave this body right now!” or “Bro. John, in the name of Jesus be healed of this fever. You body temperature normalize now!”
That way, you will see more sick folks healed in lesser time, effortlessly.
4. Occasionally pray over things if you’re led or at the request of the sick
Sometimes you can be led in your heart to pray over things like water, handkerchief, oil etc. and ask the sick to place it on their bodies. Mostly when you are not physically present with them.
Do not suppress that leading and do not also make a doctrine out of that specific direction. Always remember the instruction or direction came for that specific time or sick person alone.
Do not start mass producing water, oil, sand, handkerchief or mantle and term them “miracle” whatever, to sell or give freely to people.
Jesus did not because He used a mixture of saliva and sand to heal a blind man start using that method everytime He meets anyone blind. He didn’t also start mass producing the mixture either for His disciples to sell or give freely to every blind person on the street.
Apostle did not also go about sharing or selling handkerchiefs to every sick person he meets because it once worked when some folks of their own decisions touched his body with their handkerchiefs and go home to heal the sick with them.
Do not make a doctrine out of a mere direction, do not. So the people’s faith will not be built on things but on Jesus.
5. Ask them to do what they couldn’t do before
This is after you have laid hands, spoken to their bodies or prayed. It is at this point the healing that has taken place within them manifests to the physical.
With much love and a sense of assurance, encourage them to do what they could not do before. This can be “standing,” “bending,” “sitting,” “eating,” “drinking,” or even “walking.”
Do not expect them to do it perfectly at the first try. Celebrate and cheer every little effort on their part while encouraging them to keep trying until the healing manifests totally to the physical.
This can either be instantly or may even extend into hours, days and weeks. Do not get discouraged and quit along the way. Keep at it until you see the desired result.
I hope this blesses you. Now is time to extend this healing power of God to any sick folk around you. Go on and let God use you.
I pray for you, at the laying on of your hands and at your words, may illnesses whatever name they go by, come out of peoples bodies. May you become a mighty instrument in God’s hand to bring His love to the sick through the healing of their bodies!
Go and do exploits, in Jesus name!
Glory to God.
